Best Answer Facebook recently changed without notice that users now cannot reactivate their accounts whenever they feel after deactivation. They have to wait 24 hours before having access to their accounts. This new policy is totally unfair for users and violates our freedom of action and expression as well as our right to privacy. It is also discriminatory as it prohibits and deprives users of a right supposedly secured which is to use or leave Facebook when we, users, find more convenient for our security and personal interest. We are not hurting anyone as our Friends freely became part of our network of contacts, and we are not using negative language, doing negative or violent actions against them or anyone on Facebook.
Contact facebook and speak up against this unfair new policy. Thanks.
All Answers Answer 1 I'm having the same problem and the same question! I have another account that I just de- and re-activated and it worked just fine. The one I normally use is making me wait 24 hours. Hopefully not because of deactivating it so often! 2011-05-14 02:41:01
Answer 2 Facebook recently changed without notice that users now cannot reactivate their accounts whenever they feel after deactivation. They have to wait 24 hours before having access to their accounts, this is ridiculous and unnecessary. These changes were not announced to the users. Facebook shouldn't have the right to control when we want to access our accounts. Take a stand and pass it on and complain for them to give us access to our accounts again!

Answer 3 After each time you deactivate and reactivate you will add 12 hours to your wait time! 2011-05-15 04:18:37
Answer 4 This happened to me and I did not get a notification either.
I am not sure who the winner is with this new policy...
All I can say is that it is one step forward in fighting my facebook addiction...and I will be facebook free sooner than I thought
